# Register your guardian on chain

Guardian registration is mandatory required to be listed on guardians list and delegated to earn staking rewards.

## Prerequisites

* Guardian wallet (Metamask)
  * If you are using HW wallet, connect it to metamask
* Node wallet address
* Public IP address you own (or Elastic IP from AWS)
* Your website that introduce who you are
* 0.1 ETH
* 1 POL (optional for Polygon network registration)

## Move funds to your node address

Your node will need funds to occasionally send transactions over ethereum and polygon networks. For example when the node is ready for committee a tx will be sent over the network. You will need to send 0.1 ETH(Ethereum network) and 1 POL(Polygon network) to your ORBS node address.

The Orbs Node address should hold enough ETH to fund the gas for transactions sent to the PoS contracts. It is the Guardian's responsibility to periodically verify the Orbs node address has a balance of at least 0.1 ETH.

## Register your Guardian

To register on the network, go to [ORBS Guardians Portal](https://guardians.orbs.network/registration) (Requires Metamask connection)

1. Open [Guardians Portal ](https://guardians.orbs.network/)on Chrome browser
2. Connect Metamask(Guardian wallet) and process registration
3. Deposit ORBS in Guardian wallet and stake using [TETRA](https://staking.orbs.network)

NOTE:

* [ ] 0.1 ETH deposit required in "Node Wallet" in ETH network
* [ ] 1 POL deposit required in "Node Wallet" in Polygon network (optional for polygon staking)
* [ ] Only the top 22 elected Guardians are eligible for the rewards and bootstrap funds.

## Polygon network support

**New Guardians** are recommended to register on both Ethereum and Polygon networks, using the following link [Guardian Registration](https://guardians.orbs.network/registration)

Ethereum regisration is mandatory in order to get certified.

Changing network is available on top right near the language selector.

## Verify your Guardian is registered correctly

Goto [Network Status page](https://status.orbs.network/) to check your guardian name is listed and all services are green. (It may takes several hours to sync up)
